Walk Bridge is the last major structure on the Stroudwater Canal when travelling west towards Saul Junction. After canal abandonment, the former swing bridge was replaced by a fixed low-level concrete and brick bridge that is still in place today - obstructing the canal to boat traffic.
The bridge is due to be replaced with a new high-level structure by Gloucestershire County Council as part of the Phase 1B restoration programme.
