Walk Bridge is the last major structure on the Stroudwater Canal when travelling west from Stroud to Saul Junction. After canal abandonment, the former swing bridge was replaced by a fixed low-level concrete and brick structure that is still in place today - obstructing the canal to boat traffic.
The fixed bridge is due to be replaced with a lift bridge as part of the Phase 1B restoration programme.
