This is a new manually-operated pedestrian swing bridge that is in the same position as the former roadway to the Stroud District Council Offices at Ebley Mill. Vehicular traffic now uses the nearby Ebley (road) Bridge.
The footbridge was installed during May 2013 and was first operational in September 2013.
