Siccaridge Wood Middle Lock

This lock featured a side pond (no photo) that stretched from the bottom Siccaridge Middle to the top of Siccaridge Lower Lock.

This was a way of saving water during lock operation, and probably more importantly, reduced the chances of the very short pound between the locks running dry.
