Cotswold Canals in Pictures

Oldbury Brook and Eastern End of 'Missing Mile'

This is the eastern end of the 'missing mile'; the canal that was infilled when the M5 was built.

Oldbury Brook slices across the canal line here, which is just before the tail of Westfield Lock.

The canal will be re-instated as part of the Cotswold Canals Connected restoration scheme, and the brook will pass under the canal in what is known as a syphon aqueduct.
