The spill weir was restored in 2010.

The towpath crosses over the spill weir bridge on two very shallow brick arches. The copings lining the path are of ashlared stone blocks, carefully shaped on their undersides to follow the curve of the arches.

There are chases in the tops of the copings to suggest that the path was railed at one time.

The stone-lined and cobblepaved weir funnels to a narrow chute into the Frome, several metres below the towpath.
