Start of Infill, Whitminster Lock

The River Frome is just to the left of the path in the top photo.

The canal is infilled from here for a distance of about 700m. It then crossed the river using the long-since removed Lockham Aqueduct.

The second photo shows the view from near the site of Lockham Aqueduct looking back towards Whitminster Lock & Saul. (Map Ref. SO 7649 0832).
