Cotswold Canals in Pictures

Siddington Upper Lock

Siddington Upper Lock is the first in a flight of four when heading towards Inglesham, and marks the eastern end on the canal's 8-mile long summit level.

The Cirencester Arm joined the main canal line in the pound just above the lock, which is now a private garden.

Today the lock is heavily overgrown and difficult to see from the adjacent road bridge. The roof of the former canal agent's house can be seen to the right in the top photo.
